An honest assessment here. The Economic Rights Party is not active at all, and I do not know what to do about it. I had hoped to recruit a few people here in San Diego to start a local chapter and put my main efforts there. So far I have not been able to identify many likely recruits, or recruit the few I have identified.
Also I have not been putting much effort into it lately. Part of this is personal: my interest has unexpectedly shifted away from political activism over the last year or so. Part of it is the state of politics in the USA. The blatant corruption of the political system, and the (in my view) very likely serious decline of the American empire, makes it very difficult to envision viable political pathways for reform.
I have this website paid up until mid-February, and will defer until then any decisions about the future, if any, of this organization, such as it is. I will be sure to let you know if anything unexpected changes my assessment.
